Welcome to the Home Page of Bangladesh National Social Welfare Coucil of Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council is an organization under the control of the Ministry of Social Welfare. In 1972 the Government of Bangladesh established Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council by a resolution dated 12 April, 1972. At present the council is running under the regulation issued on 15th January 2003. There are 82 members of the council. The honorable social welfare minister is the chairman while the secretary is the vice chairman of the council. There is an executive committee which is responsible for implementation of decision and function of the council. There are also district level and upazilla level committees headed by a Deputy Commissioner and a Upazilla nirbahi officer. All the administrative matters are looked after by the Executive Secretary of the National Social Welfare Council appointed by the government.
